Project Description
For an amazing day trip that surrounds you with natural beauty, schedule time at Pranburi Forest Park. This is a Queen’s patronage project that focuses on mangrove conservation and preservation. It is a park within a park, comprising of 3.17 square kilometres (1.22 square miles), that sits at the mouth of the Pranburi River in the Klongkao-Klongkob National Reserve Forest.
The most exciting part of spending time at Pranburi Forest Park is the mangrove trail walk. These walks are done on raised wooden boardwalks throughout the mangrove forest, to protect the natural wildlife. You can even sneak peeks at the animals who live there, including chipmunks, kingfishers, and porcupines.
Long-tail boat rides are also available if you’re interested in seeing the park from the Pranburi River. The tour is forty-minutes and takes you through the forest and past a small fishing village, before meeting up with the ocean. We advise that you do both the walking and boat tours whilst you’re here!
